Helping you find the good places. The cafés, bookshops, bakeries and corners of London worth your time, plus the occasional trip out of the city.

What will I get?

London has more to offer than anyone can keep up with. This is the curated version: places chosen carefully and worth your time.

It arrives twice a week.

3 good places lands on Monday. Three places, one theme. Bakeries for a Sunday morning, somewhere to work near King's Cross, exhibitions worth the trip.

Guides land on Thursday. A neighbourhood, a day, a weekend away. Where to eat, what to see, the best cafés to work from, which bakery is worth the journey. They’re built to hold up over time.

The London map is free and linked in the menu. Only my absolute favourites make it on.

Who’s writing this

I’m Sarah, a Franco-British freelance creator and social media manager. I grew up in the south of France and moved to London in 2016, chasing a bigger, more creative life.

But for years, fear made most of my choices for me. I said no to almost everything. I once turned down a free trip to Greece because I couldn’t get on the plane, and by 2021 I couldn’t leave the house without someone next to me, not even for the shop next door.

Getting better looked a lot like sitting in cafés on my own until it stopped being frightening. Then trains. Then a fourteen hour flight to Japan.

Now I get to go to all the places I spent so long missing out on, and I don’t take a single one for granted.

I share all of this on Instagram and TikTok too, where I’m usually out somewhere in London.
